A peek inside my wardrobe…

Caramel mini skirt and camel mules on a cafe terrace

A mid-afternoon coffee outside, the sun high overhead, and nothing to do but answer a message. I had brought out my camel block-heel mules, the ones with the woven strap across the top of the foot — the comfiest pair I own, and the only ones that stay hooked on my toes when I cross my legs without thinking.

Leaving, but there was still one message to finish.
Lena sitting side-on at a cafe terrace, legs crossed, wearing camel block-heel mules
Legs crossed, coffee still hot.
Lena seated facing the camera on a rattan chair, feet flat on the ground in camel block-heel mules
Facing the camera, feet flat on the paving.
Lena leaning over her phone at a cafe terrace in a cream cami and caramel mini skirt
Three lines to write, it took me ten minutes.
Lena sitting cross-legged at a cafe terrace, her heel out of her camel mule
The heel slipping out on its own, as always.
Lena's crossed legs at a cafe terrace, her camel block-heel mule hanging from her toes
It always ends up hanging off the end of my foot.
Close-up of Lena's bare heel lifted out of her camel mule, the shoe hanging from her toes above the paving
Up close you can really see the gap under the heel.
Lena's feet in camel block-heel mules resting on the grey paving under a cafe table
Both feet down, just long enough to finish my coffee.
