A peek inside my wardrobe…

Ecru linen suit, barefoot in a white room

I moved in last week and this room is still completely empty: a white wall, a white painted floor, a frosted glass window, and nothing else. I spent the whole afternoon in there in my crumpled linen suit, the one I never iron because the creases are the whole point. Barefoot on the boards, a worn-in red lip and nothing else. Apparently this is how you take possession of a flat.

The room is empty, but the light is perfect.

Crumpled linen is all I've unpacked so far.

There's no chair yet, so I sit where I can.

The floor works just as well.

Six days now waiting on that sofa delivery.

The floor is cold. I don't care.

You get used to empty rooms quickly.

I think I'll stay here a while.

Linen is the only fabric that forgives sitting on the floor.

The light changes every ten minutes in here.

Nothing to do, nowhere to be.
